Planning a hospitality frontage
For a café, restaurant or hotel, the entrance does the advertising. It has to be legible from across the road, lit for the evening trade, and welcoming enough at close range that people step in. Behind it, the service line and the back of house have to work on a busy night, so seating counts, kitchen access and the route staff take are settled before any finish is chosen.
