Step 01
Survey and report
We look at the home as it is and tell you what we found, including anything that changes the budget.
Renovation · flats and older houses
Yes, we take renovation work. Remodelling a home you already own is a different job from fitting out an empty flat — most of the risk is in what the previous work left behind.
We reply within 1–2 working days. No call centre — you speak to the studio.
Why us
In a new flat, the drawings describe an empty box. In a renovation, the box is full of decisions somebody else made: wiring of unknown age and capacity, plumbing buried in walls, a floor that may not be level, waterproofing that may or may not still be doing its job, and joinery that was built to fit a different family.
So we start by finding out what is actually there. A proper survey before design costs a little time and saves most of the arguments later, because the budget is then built around the real condition of the home rather than around hope.
01
Measuring the home as it stands, checking the electrical load and distribution, tracing damp, testing levels, and opening up a small area where something looks doubtful.
02
An honest list: what is sound and worth keeping, what can be refinished, and what is cheaper to replace than to repair. Keeping something poor rarely saves money.
03
Rewiring or extending circuits for today’s appliances, replacing old plumbing lines while walls are open, and redoing waterproofing in bathrooms rather than tiling over a problem.
04
Opening a kitchen, merging or dividing rooms, or reworking a bathroom — always with a structural engineer’s view before any wall that might be carrying load is touched.
In detail
The common mistake is to budget for what you can see. Paint, joinery and tiles are easy to price; the plumbing line that has to be replaced once a wall is opened, the damp behind a wardrobe, and the old distribution board that cannot take another air conditioner are not. We survey for these first and keep a contingency for the ones that only appear once work starts.
Old services deserve particular care. Wiring installed for a very different set of appliances is the thing we most often recommend renewing, along with concealed plumbing that is already showing signs of failing. Doing this while the walls are open is a fraction of the cost and disruption of doing it after everything is finished.
Waterproofing is the other one worth insisting on. Tiling over a bathroom that already leaks simply hides it, and the damage shows up in the room next door a year later. If a bathroom is being redone, it should be taken back far enough to do the waterproofing properly.
The rest is sequence and protection: dust barriers so the parts of the home you are still using stay liveable, flooring and finished work covered, debris removed within the society’s rules, and neighbours warned before the noisy days. For how the whole thing is documented and costed, see our page on turnkey interior contractors in Nagpur.
How we work
Step 01
We look at the home as it is and tell you what we found, including anything that changes the budget.
Step 02
What is being kept, renewed and replaced, written down before design begins so the cost is built on facts.
Step 03
Layouts, joinery, electrical and plumbing drawings for the new arrangement, coordinated with the existing services.
Step 04
Careful removal, repairs and services first, then ceilings, joinery and finishes, with a snag list closed at handover.

Questions
Yes. We renovate flats and older houses across Nagpur, from a single kitchen or bathroom to a full remodel with layout changes. The work is planned, drawn and supervised the same way as any other project.
Sometimes. Room-by-room or floor-by-floor work is possible, with dust barriers and a sequence that keeps a kitchen and a bathroom usable. For a full remodel with civil work, ceilings and rewiring, it is faster, cleaner and safer to move out, and we will tell you honestly which applies once we have surveyed the home.
Only after a structural engineer confirms the wall is not carrying load, and in a flat only within what your society and the building permit. Where a wall must stay, there are usually other ways to open the space — a wide opening, a glazed partition or a change of level.
It depends on how much is being opened up. A single room or bathroom is measured in weeks; a full remodel with new services and joinery runs longer than the same work in an empty flat, because removal, repair and unexpected finds all take time.
Often, yes, particularly for a well-located older home with good proportions. What decides it is the condition of the structure, the services and the waterproofing. That is exactly what the survey tells you, before you commit to anything.
