In detail
Designing interiors for Nagpur’s climate
Nagpur summers regularly climb past 45°C, and that changes how an interior should be put together. West-facing rooms need shading and heat-reflective glazing or curtains more than they need decoration, and a false ceiling with insulation above it makes a real difference to how hard your air conditioning has to work.
Materials have to cope too. Veneer and solid wood move with the swing from the dry heat of May to the monsoon humidity of July, so we detail joinery with expansion gaps and choose laminates, finishes and adhesives rated for it. Dust is the other constant — shutters that close flush and storage that seals properly are worth more here than open shelving.
None of this shows up in a render. It lives in the drawings, which is why we draw everything before anything is built.
